Our Racing Story
Swenson Motorsport began not just as a racing team, but a lifeline. In the wake of COVID, like so many teenagers, Cal Swenson found himself in a difficult funk – isolated, discouraged, and searching for purpose. Racing became the answer. His father saw the track as a way to reignite Cals’s spirt, and together they built a team that was more than cars and competition – it was about family, resilience, and hope. Over time, Cal has developed into an excellent mechanic while earning the respect as a skilled and determined racer on the track. His story is proof how racing can transform lives.
Swenson Motorsports is a family owned and operated racing team, consisting of Mike Swenson, his son Cal Swenson, and his Son-in-law Jordan Rast. Their passion for racing not only brings them together as a family but also drives them to compete fiercely on the track. Throughout the years, they have built a reputation for their dedication and teamwork, inspiring many young racers along the way. With countless hours spent in the garage and at the racetrack, they work tirelessly to refine their skills and improve their performance in all competitions.
Swenson Motorsports competes in the Midwest Legend Dirt Series and travels with them to tracks throughout the Midwest. Participating in various races has helped the team showcase their talents and allowed them to forge friendships with other racing teams, creating a community that shares their love for motorsports. They embrace every challenge that comes their way, continually striving to achieve their best times and pushing each other to improve.
